Why electrical safety in public places is so important

We found this video on YouTube and it highlights why electrical safety in all public places is so important.

In 2018, a 7-year-old boy named Harvey was fatally electrocuted at the King Harold Pub in Romford.

This video was created by Leon Rygol, an electrician with over 25 years of experience in the electrical industry, and in this video he investigates how a tragedy like this could happen in the UK, a country full of regulations and safety standards.

He speaks with Harvey’s mother Danielle about the final hours before the incident and examine the electrical failures that led to his death. He also breaks down the fault using a simple demonstration to show how dangerous electrical installations can become when safety systems fail.

The accident was so severe that the landlord responsible is now serving a prison sentence. This video is about awareness, accountability, and preventing something like this from ever happening again.
